چکیده
The present study provides an in-depth characterisation of the non-anthocyanin and anthocyanin phenolic compounds potato peels from ten coloured varieties. Furthermore, underexplored bioactive potential (antioxidant, cytotoxic anti-inflammatory capacities) studied is comprehensively analysed. Among phenolics, caffeic a caffeoylquinic acid were found in highest concentrations all samples, which also showed presence O-glycosylated flavonol derivatives polyamine derivatives. Acylated anthocyanins identified red purple varieties, being pelargonidin, peonidin, malvidin most prominent aglycones. All samples revealed antioxidant antitumor activities, no toxic effect. extract Rosemary variety presented best outcomes was only sample to reveal activity. These results are valuable for food-industry by adding value important bio-residue, particularly concerning its as natural ingredients novel food pharmaceutical formulations.

The experiment was conducted during the period from January to December, 2008 at the Laboratory of Biotechnology, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Gazipur, Bangladesh. A two step procedure was followed for direct plant regeneration of potato. Murashige and Skoog (MS) basal medium supplemented with 0.5 mg l -1 IBA and 30 g sugar was used for in vitro potato plants development via noda...

Mechanism of microtuberization in three elite cultivars kufri badhsha (KB), kufri chandramukhi (KCM) and kufri jawahar (KJ) of potato was studied. Sprouts of all the three cultivars were used to obtain in vitro shoot cultures. MS medium supplemented with chlorocholine chloride was found to be most suitable for all the cultivars. Maximum tuberization was obtained under incubation conditions of c...
متن کاملInvolvement of Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) MKK6 in Response to Potato virus Y
Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades have crucial roles in the regulation of plant development and in plant responses to stress. Plant recognition of pathogen-associated molecular patterns or pathogen-derived effector proteins has been shown to trigger activation of several MAPKs. This then controls defence responses, including synthesis and/or signalling of defence hormones and act...
